Zhang Lab research employs cutting-edge technologies in green algae and land plants to study how photosynthetic organisms respond to high temperatures, with the ultimate goal to engineer more heat-tolerant plants and algae for improved agriculture production and biomass accumulation.
The Zhang Lab is part of the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center community whose mission is to improve the human condition through plant science. Plants are wonderful teachers. They reveal astonishing secrets about the world around us, and show us how, together, we can make it better.
